Caitlyn Shadbolt is already forging her entry into the Australian Country Music industry. Known as Gympie’s own “pocket rocket” 18 year old Caitlyn is on her way to recording and releasing her first single!
This young lady’s achievements to date include:
- finalist at the Tamworth Yamaha Youngstars 2012
- runner-up in the junior section of the Urban Country Music Festival in 2010
- Junior Cultural Award and Young Australian of the Year 2012 in the Gympie Regional Australia Day Awards
- Third placing in the prestigious competition 2012 Coca Cola Battle of the Bands with her band “Aiming High”
- 2012 Music Captain for The Country Music School of Excellence
Caitlyn is continually recognised for actively promoting the Gympie Region and the abundance of services available within the community. Caitlyn is an active member of The Australian Institute of Country Music (AICM) and The Country Music School of Excellence (CMSOE), an organisation created and based at the school she attends, Gympie State High.
With her outgoing personality and her “can do” attitude Caitlyn consistently extends positive energies amongst her peers. Caitlyn is recognized as a role model for other aspiring young female artists and the local youth of the Gympie region. This young lady has a passionate belief in setting goals and working hard to achieve them.
Performing at many venues in her local area as a solo artist or with her band is fast helping Cait to become a vibrant young entertainer and her aim is to please the many audiences she encounters. Her belief is that everything from the stage is for the audience.
Music and everything about it are Cait’s passion. Her long term goal is to become one of Australia’s recognized Country Artists and work within the ever evolving industry. At only 17 years of age Cait is currently singing, songwriting, playing guitar, mandolin and drums. This young lady believes there are no boundaries to music and what you can learn about it. She diligently works to improve all of her skills while inspiring others.
